Lucilla-my cat

Dear Lucilla,

Sometimes you are a brat and I want to strangle you, but I still love you no matter what. You are such a cute little kitten and you are a ball of fun. Most of the time I tell you I hate you I am just angry and do not mean it. I love coming home to you and petting you because you are so adorable. I hate feeding you and changing your litter box and you really stink up my room, but I still do all those things because I love you. You make my life complete and I am so greatful that I have you in my life.

Love,

Your dearest Katie

Macbeth

Macbeth is very hard for me to understand by myself. It is really helpful when it is explained during class because I don't get most of the vocabulary. I like the play so far, it would just be a lot better if I could process it on my own. I understand the play up to this point.

Geoffrey Chaucer

-Geoffrey Chaucer is the author of the epic tale, The Canterbury Tales, which he did not begin working on until his early 40s.

-He was captured in the Ardennes and returned to England after the treaty of Brétigny in 1360 during the Hundred Years' War. His ransom was bought by some of his friends and King Edward because he was a valued, skilled, professional, soldier.

-In 1374 he became a government official at the port of London, holding the post of Comptroller of the Customs and Subside of Wools, Skins, and Tanned Hides. He was charged with rape during that time, but it is unknown whether he was guilty or not. He later paid Cecile Champaigne for withdrawing the lawsuit.

-The Canterbury Tales was unfinished on account to Chaucer's death.

-He lived his life close to English power, and got a career in the royal service.

Writing

Writing is very difficult for me. I have never been good at writing, but I do feel like I have gotten better since my freshman year. I was getting F's on papers in the beginning of my freshman year, and towards the end of that year they were turning into B's and C's. I usually struggle with coming up with sentences that are interesting or make sense. Back in my freshman year of high school, I had the same problem. I have learned now to use a thesaurus and find different words to make whatever I am writing about seem more interesting. Writing has always been a struggle for me, but I hope to improve on it during my high school career.

My Hero

My hero is Britney Spears. She is really hot and she is a good role model. She influences me to be a diva, and a wonderful mother. I would like to meet her one day because I love her. She does many good things for the world such as making a lot of headlines and giving people some entertainment to read about. She is a strong individual and that inspires me to be strong as well. I love Britney!

Hello

My name is Katie Cole and I am seventeen years old. I am a junior in high school and I am short. I hate school and english is my least favorite subject, sorry Mr. Lunn. I play recreational soccer and my coaches name is Paul McCartney, and he is a very nice man. My favorite color is purple and I don't like to read. I enjoy eating buckeyes and mac-n-cheese. I don't like cake at all but edible arrangements are a really good substitution for a birthday cake. My grandparents live in Florida and I visit them every summer. I have a dog named Butters, and a very obese cat named Cheetoh. They are pretty cool. Have a nice day.
